RCC MEd School Counselling 25+ Years Experience Trauma-Informed Neurodiversity-Affirming
My story

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with over 25 years in the public school system — first as a classroom, resource, and arts teacher, and now as a school counsellor and private practitioner. That foundation shapes everything I do.

My arts background — a B.A. in Ethnomusicology and an M.Ed. in Arts Education — is woven into my practice. Training in art therapy, drama therapy, and Developmental Transformations (DvT) deepens my use of creative modalities, especially with those who express best through images, movement, or play rather than words.

I am passionate about neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and anti-oppressive care — and I bring genuine curiosity and warmth to every person I work with.

My philosophy

What I believe

Every person carries inherent strengths and wisdom. My role is not to fix, but to accompany — to help you find your own footing, in your own time, in your own way.

Safety comes first. I draw on a wide range of evidence-based frameworks and adapt them to the whole person in front of me — their culture, neurology, history, and life.
